Hexagonal Vase

It looks like something you would find under the ocean. The yellow flowers blooming like Sea Anemones off coral.

Keeping the buds close to the vase allows me to experiment with blending the qualities of the flower with the vase, making a symbiotic relationship. While I don’t feel like theses pieces have to use these specific flowers, I do like thinking of them holistically in that way. It gives me a focus. I think why my work is always so minimal is that it really helps me focus. Too many variables at play get me overwhelmed.

This piece also reminds me of basalt columns found in places like Ireland’s Giant Causeway.
